Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro women's tennis finished off their season with a win on Sunday afternoon as they defeated non-conference opponent D'Youville 7-0. With the victory, Edinboro finishes the season with a (12-8) overall record and (3-3) in the PSAC. 

In the Fighting Scot's final home match of the season, senior Lauren Chiacchia (Hamburg, Ny.) was recognized for Senior Day. Chiacchia's career with Edinboro began back in the 2019 season, when she earned her first match win on Oct. 11 against East Stroudsburg.  

In her final collegiate match, Chiacchia and teammate Marina Zottele earned a doubles victory over Julia Clapper and Taylor Nash 6-1. Maria Clara Salomao and Rafaella Negrao De Almeida defeated Yuliia Kashtelian and Katelyn Hoover 6-3. The two match victories were enough for Edinboro to clinch the doubles point. 

In singles Edinboro would complete the sweep by winning every individual match. Vidisha Pallamreddy defeated Kashtelian 6-3, 6-2 and finished the season with a team-high (13-7) in singles.  

Luciana Ponce finished the season with nine victories in singles play after she cruised past Hoover 6-0, 6-0. De Almeida kept the pattern going when she swept Clapper 6-0, 6-0 and earned her ninth win of the season. Anisha Thada contributed to the third singles swept with her win over Taylor Nash 6-0, 6-0 and ninth win of the season.  

Zottele completed singles play with her commanding win over Taylor-Anne Austin 6-1, 6-0 as she caps off her season with a (11-9) individual record.
