Erie, Pa. – The Fighting Scots dropped the overall result to Gannon on Friday evening, 145-78 in the women's and 166-39 in the men's. The evenings competition saw Edinboro push close to their seasons bests with multiple Scots picking up PSAC qualification times.
Stephanie Sipple won out in the 200 freestyle posting a season best time of 1:57.49 for the victory.
Gerardo Gonzalez Ruiz also put in a season best performance in the men's event with a time of 1:48.39.
The 50 freestyle saw
Makayla Scheu take victory at 24.78, equaling her second quickest time of the season.
Ted Kinney placed second for the men at a time of 21.45.
In the 200 IM
Lara De Carne finished in second place with a time of 2:16.71,
Baila Bugara posted a time of 2:16.96, with both swimmers under the PSAC mark.
Stephanie Sipple was back in first place in commanding fashion in the 200 butterfly at 2:09.42, pushing close to her season best.
Elijah Innis sealed a season best time of 2:05.52 narrowly missing the PSAC mark.
Avery Zuk took third in 100 free with a time of 54.89,
Lara De Carne was in fourth with her quickest time of the season at 55.44. Both women posting PSAC times on the day.
The men also took third and fourth in the 100 free.
Ted Kinney was in third at 48.27, with
Frank Barger in fourth at 49.24 with both under the PSAC benchmark.
Leia Ross pushed close to a season best in the 200 backstroke, taking second place at 2:14.67.
Armando Apigna-Castellanos earned his own season best time in the men's event placing second at 2:01.24 taking a PSAC spot alongside it.
Leia Ross took the final victory on the day for Edinboro in the 200 breaststroke, posting a PSAC time of 2:29.34.
Edinboro make a quick turn around as they travel to California, Pa. as they face the Cal. U and Clarion University. Events start on Saturday, Jan 21. at 1 p.m.
