Nick Lodato and
Jacob Brenneman turned in sixth place performances to lead the Edinboro wrestling team at the Navy Classic Saturday.

Brenneman dropped his first match 19-3 loss to Jacob Van Dee of Nebraska. He added bonus points in his next match claiming a 10-2 major over Mason Brugh of Ohio. Brenneman continued in the consolation bracket defeating the Citadel's George Rosas 8-5. Breenman's day ended with a loss to Sean Pierson of Princeton 12-9.

Lodato opened the day with a hard-fought 4-3 over Cameo Blandenship of Davidson. Luke Stout of Princeton pushed Lodato to the consolation bracket with a score of 18-3. In his first consolation match, Lodato picked up a 2-1 victory over Navy's Jacob Lucas. In a high scoring affair, Lodato advanced to the fifth-place match with a 12-11 decision over Austin Starr of Ohio. Lodato dropped the fifth-place match 18-8 against Blake Schaffer of Kent State.
Jack Kilner also wrestled at 197 dropping his first match to Bucknell's Logan Deacetis 9-2. Kilner picked up a 5-3 win over Brad Morrison of Lock Haven before going down to Starr 5-0.
Abe Keep dropped a pair of matches at the Navy Classic.

The Scots had a trio of wrestlers in
Caleb Edwards,
Eamonn Jimenez and
Hunter Johnson. Edwards lost his opening match 13-3 to Shamil Kalmatov of American. He followed that up with a 9-2 decision over Zachary Starr of Kent State. In his final match of the day, Edwards fell 7-2 to Adan Benavidez also of Kent State. Jimenez and Johnson each dropped a pair of matches.

Anthony Ferraro fell 13-6 in the opening match to Cleveland State's Dylan Layton. Ferraro advanced via forfeit and then scored 17-2 tech fall over Tyler Hunt of Navy. Ferraro came out on the wrong side of a 5-1 decision against Tyler Vazquez of Princeton.

Steffan Lynch fell 17-0 to Lock Haven's Nicholas Stonecheck in his opening match. In his first consolation match, Lynch turned on the offense earning a 14-10 decision over Kent State's Kaden Setzer. Lucas Kapusta of Lock Haven pinned Lynch to end his day.

Colin Roberts dropped his opening match to Daniel Segura of Ohio 5-0. He then fell 4-1 to Keegan Knapp of Kent State.

Joey Arnold lost by fall in his opening match against Noah Mulvaney of Bucknell. He bounced back with a 7-3 decision over Daniel Patten of Cleveland State before dropping an 8-2 decision to Navy's Tyler Sagi.
Max Kirby came up on the wrong end of a 6-2 decision against Ben Haubert of the Citadel. Kirby came back and scored a fall of Michael Garcar of Kent State. Kirby's day came to an end after dropping an 8-5 decision to Marc Koch of Davidson.

Hunter Hutcheson fell to Navy's Danny Wask19-4 in the opener and then dropped a 16-6 decision to Aiden Faria of Kent State.

Brody Evans fell 6-0 to Bucknell's Nolan Spangler in his first match of the day. Evans was up 8-0 in is consolation match before advancing via medical forfeit. In a tight final match, Evans was edged out 2-1 by Kent State's Kyle Snider.
Eli Makel dropped a 19-3 tech fall to Zyan Hall of Navy and then fell 5-0 against Bucknell's Mikey Bartush.
