Erie, Pa. -- The Edinboro men capped off the opening weekend of conference play with a win on Sunday against Bloomsburg, as they earned their fifth sweep of the season. The Scots finished with a vigorous 7-0 win where they didn't let up a point in doubles and singles. With the win the Edinboro men improve to 9-3 overall and 2-0 in PSAC play.
Doubles
In doubles the Scots made a clean sweep of three-straight to take first point of the match. Ruben Acuna and Kaio Sacchi earned their ninth win of the season as they cruised to a 6-1 final.
Bruno Sabio and Rocco Palombarini held on and earned their eighth win of the season as they defeated Albert Martin and Vishesh Patel 6-2.
Manav Sreekumar and Thibault Dorval capped off the doubles sweep with a 6-3 final over Sergio Dilan and Arnav Sharma.
Singles
In singles Edinboro finished with six straight wins. Acuna won his eighth consecutive singles match with a brilliant 6-2, 6-1 final over Patel.
Sabio cruised past Martin 6-1, 6-0 as he earned his seventh singles win of the season.
Sreekumar was dominant in his 6-2, 6-2 win over Victor Martinez and is now (7-4) in singles.
Gustavo Martins won his third straight with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Sharma as Martins improves to (8-3) in singles.
Dorval also improves to (8-3) in singles after his 6-2, 6-0 victory over Oliver Wiesemann.
Finn Unger prevailed with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Vini Moura to help complete the sweep for Edinboro. Unger improves to (8-4) in singles.
