West Chester, Pa. -- The Edinboro men took care of business on Friday with a 7-0 sweep over PSAC opponent West Chester. With the win the Edinboro men improve to (14-3) overall and (5-0) in PSAC play, as they make it seven consecutive wins in a row.
Doubles
In doubles the Scots won three out of three to take the first point of the match. Bruno Sabio and Rocco Palombarini cruised to their twelfth win of the season as they defeated Zequeira and DeJesus-Morales 6-3.
Ruben Acuna and Kaio Sacchi came away with a 6-2 win over Henke and Robertson as they improved to (13-3) on the season.
Thibault Dorval and Manav Sreekumar completed the doubles sweep with a 6-2 win over Weber and Poprik.
Singles
In singles Edinboro finished with six straight wins. Acuna won his thirteenth consecutive singles match with a brilliant 6-2, 6-0 final over Zequeira.
Sabio defeated Weber 6-2, 6-1 as he earned his twelfth singles win of the season.
Sreekumar was dominant in his 6-1, 6-2 win over Henke and is now (11-5) in singles.
Gustavo Martins prevailed in a clean 6-0, 6-0 sweep win over Cashin as Martins improves to (12-4) in singles.
Dorval also improves to (12-4) in singles after his 6-2, 6-0 victory over DeJesus-Morales.
Sacchi grabbed a 6-2, 6-0 win over Poprik in his second singles match of the season.
