Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro women's tennis began the week with a 6-1 win over West Virginia Wesleyan College. With the win, the Edinboro women improve to (4-9) overall.
Doubles
In doubles Edinboro would earn the point with two wins out of three. The Scots earned their two doubles victories by default.
Marina Zottele and Maria Clara Salomao represented the Edinboro women in the lone doubles match played. The duo fell in a tiebreaker to Aderemi Omolade and Cayley Symons 6-7 (4).
Singles
The Edinboro women held a 1-0 lead as they headed into singles. For the Scots, Zottele would help add to their score with a resounding 6-2, 6-1 win over Symons. Zottele earned her fourth singles win of the season.
After winning the first set, Cecillia Carayol would fall short in a 6-4, 5-7, 8-10 final to Omolade.
The Scots gained their final four points by default due to lack of players for West Virginia Wesleyan. Edinboro would prevail 6-1.
