Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro women's tennis team concluded their season with a convincing 7-0 win on Senior Day. With the win over Seton Hill, the Scots finish the season with a (7-11) overall record and (4-3) in conference play.
Doubles
In doubles Edinboro would earn the point with two wins out of three, to grab the early 1-0 lead.
Marina Zottele and Rafaella Negrao De Almeida prevailed in a 6-1 win over Pereda and McCluskey. The duo improved to (2-6) together in doubles.
Sandra Riecken and Ana Nadai improved to an even (8-8) in doubles with their quick 6-1 win over Derr and Soloman.
Cecillia Carayol and Maria Clara Salomao fell 3-6.
Singles
The Edinboro women's momentum continued into singles as they went six-for-six while completing the sweep.
Negrao De Almeida edged Pereda in an intense three set match 2-6, 6-2, 14,12.
Carayol prevailed over Storkel with a 6-2, 6-3 win as she grabbed her sixth win of the season.
Riecken came up clutch in a tiebreaker over McCluskey 6-1, 7-6 (4).
Zottele won her sixth match of the season with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Begley.
Nadai won her eighth match of the season with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 win over Soloman.
Salomao capped off the sweep with a 6-0, 6-4 win over Derr as she earned her seventh win of the season.
