eeEdinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro wrestling team announced their schedule Wednesday featuring a full slate of MAC action as well as three duals against Big Ten opponents.
The Fighting Scots will begin the 2023-24 campaign with their wrestle offs on Thursday Oct. 26.
"We are excited to announce our schedule for the 2023-24 season," said head coach
Matt Hill. "We have three Big Ten dual meets with Ohio State, Rutgers and Penn State. This is a great opportunity for our guys to wrestle the best and learn what it takes to compete with elite level wrestlers. We also look to compete at several smaller tournaments and opens throughout the season. We will host the Bobby Kauffman Open in early January and hold the annual Edinboro Open. I'm definitely excited to see this young and also experienced team go to battle this season."
Regular season action starts with a trio of open tournament dates Sunday, Nov. 5 at the Clarion Open, Sunday, Nov. 12 at the Ohio Open and Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Navy Classic.
Edinboro is slated for three Big Ten Duals with at Ohio State on Nov. 12 and then back at McComb Fieldhouse on Dec. 1 to host Rutgers. The Scots round out the regular season with a trip to Penn State.
The Scots make a trip just before Christmas to take on Sacred Heart on Dec. 21 and then wrestling Long Island University and Hofstra on Dec. 22.
The schedule features home dates against SIUE on Jan. 5, Calrion on Jan. 28, Bloomsburg on Feb. 10 and Lock Haven on Feb. 17. Edinboro will also host the Bobby Kauffman Open on Jan. 7 and the Edinboro Open on Feb. 3.
The Scots wrap up regular season action on Feb. 25 at Penn State.
