Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro women's tennis team scored a 7-0 sweep over visiting D'Youville Saturday afternoon in dual action.
The Scots got off to a fast start winning all three doubles matches.
Johanna Priedite and
Cecilia Carayol took top flight doubles 6-1 over Yuliia Kashtelian and Khushi Agarwal.
Emma Semery and Rafaella Almeida picked up a 6-1 victory at number two doubles and the number three pair of
Marina Zottele and Maria Salomao were 6-0 winners over Hannah Flynn and Eliza Prokopenk.
In singles action, Priedite was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Kashtelian while Carayol earned a 6-2, 6-1 win over Agarwal. At number three, Almeida defeated Maria Campisi 6-1, 6-0.
Lara Sener scored a 6-4, 6-1 win over Paola Ermina at number four. Zottele was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Flynn at number five. Semery rounded out the sweep with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Prokpenk.
The Scots next action is on Oct. 7 at the PSAC Individual Championships in Bloomsburg.
