Fairfax, Va. – The Edinboro wrestling team dropped a 38-3 decision to host George Mason Saturday afternoon in MAC dual action.

Caleb Edwards. Dragovich scored a late first-period takedown and then followed it up with two takedowns each in the second and third to secure the major.

Brandon Wittenberg scored a first period takedown of
Lane Aikey to earn a 4-1 decision and extend the George Mason lead to 7-0.

Jacob Brenneman took on Nate Higley. Higley jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first with a takedown and six near-fall points. Higley opened the second with an escape and then scored a takedown and four more back points to earn a 17-0 tech fall.

George Mason's Kaden Cassidy jumped on
Colin Roberts early with a takedown and three four-point tilts to score a 15-0 tech fall.

After trailing 6-1 after the first,
Steffan Lynch scored a second period takedown, but came out on the wrong end of a 12-6 decision to the Patriot's DJ McGee.

Evan Maag scored first period takedown of
Max Kirby before Kirby cut the lead to 3-2 with a reversal. Maag tallied a reversal of his own and Kirby escaped to make it 5-3. Maag notched his second takedown of the period and worked in to a fall at the 2:44 mark.

Paul Pierce took down
Joey Arnold in the first and Arnold was able to escape to make it 3-1 after one. Arnold also scored an escape in the second to cut it to 3-2. Pierce escaped to start the third, but a stall point and a penalty point forced the match to sudden victory. Pierce notched the take down to take the 7-4 decision extending the George Mason led to 29-0.

Jack Kilner scored a first period takedown of Tyler Kocak and took a 3-1 lead into the second. After Kilner escaped to start the second, he scored another takedown extending his lead to 7-2 after two. Kocak escaped to open the third, but Kilner shut it down for a 7-3 decision to get the Scots on the board.

In the final match of the day Chad Nix of George Mason used five first period points to claim an 8-1 decision over
Nick Lodato.
The Scots are back in action on Sunday when they travel to Rider for another MAC dual. Wrestling is slated for 1 p.m.
