Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro wrestling team fell 40-4 to No. 4 Ohio State Sunday afternoon inside McComb Fieldhouse.

Ohio State's Brendan McCrone scored a first period takedown and rode Edinboro's 
Chris Vargo out in the second. With a third period takedown and the riding time point, McCrone scored an 8-0 major decision to put Ohio State up 4-0.

No. 15 Nic Bouzakis of Ohio State scored a takedown early in the first and was able to stick 
Colton Camacho in the first period extending the Buckeye lead to 10-0.

Colin Roberts got the nod at 141 for the Scots against Andre Gonzales. Gonzales scored a takedown 12 seconds into the first and then turned Roberts three times for four-points each to score a 15-0 tech fall.

No. 11 Dylan D'Emilio  scored a first period takedown to take a 3-0 lead of 
Garrett McChesney. D'Emilio rode out the second period chose down in the to start the third. D'Emilio scored an escape to start the third to go up 4-0. McChesney scored a takedown to cut the lead to 4-3. McChesney cut D'emilio and kept the pressure on the Buckeye, but couldn't find another takedown dropping the decision 6-3.

The offense was on display between No. 10 Paddy Gallagher and 
Ryan Michaels. It was Michaels that got on the board first scoring a takedown 28 seconds into the bout. Gallagher got out and scored a takedown of his own to go up 4-3. Gallagher would score two more takedowns and Michaels a pair of escapes and a stall point to make it 10-6 after the first period. Michaels got out to start the second but two more takedowns made it 16-9 Gallagher after two. Gallagher would score three more takedowns in the third to score the 26-11 tech fall.

Ohio State's Sammy Sasso got on the board first, but 
Max Kirby picked up an escape and a takedown of his own to go up 4-3. Sasso escaped and sent the bout to the second with the score tied at 4-4.  In the second, Saso scored an escape and a takedown to take an 8-4 lead into the third. Kirby escaped to open the third and Sasso extended his lead with a takedown to make it 11-5. Kirby got out and scored a takedown to cut the lead to 12-9. Kirby cut Sasso but couldn't get the tying takedown with Sasso scoring a 13-9 win with the riding time point.

After a scoreless first between Edinboro's 
Brody Evans and Ohio State's TJ Schierl, Evans scored an escape at the start of the second and then tallied a takedown at the 1:03 mark to go up 4-0 after two. Evans scored another takedown in the third and four near-fall points as time expired and the riding time point to score a 12-0 major decision.

Hunter Hutchenson wrestled up to 184 for the second straight dual this time against Ohio State's Gavin Bell. Bell used a takedown and three tilts to hold a 10-0 lead after one. In the second, Bell scored a four-point and a two-point near fall to take a 16-0 tech fall.

No. 11 Luke Geog used three takedowns to build a 9-2 lead over 
Eli Makel after the first period. Makel escaped to start the second, but a takedown and six near-fall points gave Geog an 18-3 tech fall.

In the final bout of the day, Hogan Swenski got out to an 8-1 lead after one on his way to a 14-4 major decision over 
Aden Roe.
