Edinboro, Pa. -- Wilfredo Diaz capped a stellar red-shirt sophomore season with a selection to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association All-America Second Team.

Diaz was the nation's leading tackler averaging 13.6 tackles per game. He made 7.5 tackles for loss with 1.5 sacks, he also recorded five pass breakups, one interception, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Diaz also blocked two kicks.

His 150 total tackles on the season tied him for the 10th most in a single season in Edinboro history.

Diaz landed on the All-American ballot after being a First-Team All-Super Region I selection and a first-team All-PSAC West selection. Diaz was one of four Super Region I selections to land on the All-American team on the defensive side of the ball.
