Buckhannon, W.Va. -- The Edinboro men's tennis team earned a hard-fought 4-3 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan Thursday afternoon.
Gordan Mileusnic and
Fabricio Sosa Pons defeated Kihiro Karasawa and Jed Platts 6-4.
Bruno Sabio and
Rocco Palombarini fell 7-6, but
Thibault Dorval and
Stanislas Noel secured the doubles point with a 6-4 win over Ricardo Starosta and Giovani Pinhati.
The Bobcats scored wins at number one, three and four singles. Mileusnic notched a straight set 6-4, 6-4 victory over Gianluca Gerndt at number two singles.
Dorval was a 6-0, 6-3 winner against Platts at number five and
Gustavo Martins secured the win for the Scots with a 6-0, 6-0 over Andres Valverde in the final singles slot.
The Scots return to action on Friday with a trip to Fairmont State. The match is scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
