Athens, Ohio – The Edinboro wrestling team dropped a 26-14 decision to Ohio in MAC Dual action Sunday afternoon.
The Scots got out to a quick start with 125 pounder
Chris Vargo scoring a 14-6 major decision over Ryan Meek to put Edinboro ahead 4-0.
Colton Camacho extended the lead with a major decision of his own. He topped TJ England 15-4 to extend the lead to 8-0 Scots.
Anthony Ferraro extended the lead to 11-0 scoring a 6-1 decision over Kaden Jett at 141.
Ohio cut into the Edinboro lead with a major decision from Derek Raike at 149 and a fall from Logan Cravatas to make it 11-10 Scots.
Jack Lledo gave the Bobcats the lead with an 8-6 decision over
Max Kirby. Back-to-back tech falls from Garrett Thompson and Jeremy Olsko extended the lead to 23-11.
Nick Lodato stopped the Ohio run with an 8-6 decision over Austin Starr to trim the lead to 23-14. In the final bout of the day, Jordan Greer scored a decision over
Aden Roe to set the final.
The Scots are back in action February 1 when they host the Edinboro Open inside McComb Fieldhouse.
