Boca Raton, Fla. – The Edinboro men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Division II powerhouse Lynn Tuesday afternoon.
Nils Weskamp and
Guillermo Rodriguez topped Aaron Brandenburger and Lennart Ostheimer 7-5 at number three doubles, but Lynn took the top two doubles matches to take home the first point of the match.
Stanislas Noel defeated Santino Morel 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 at number two singles to get the Scots on the board.
Thomas Buchard won the first set from Aymen Alimoussa 7-5 before dropping the next two 6-2, 6-3. At number six, Rodriguez dropped the opening set 6-4 before rallying for a 7-6 win in the second against Smaran Rangarajan. In the decisive third set Rangarajan was a 10-5 winner.
At the top singles spot, Alessio Demichelis topped
Mathis Amsellem 6-3, 6-2. Osthemier scored a 6-2, 6-0 win over Fabrisio Sosa Pons at number four. In the number five slot, Davide Cortimiglia defeated Rocco Palambarini 6-3, 6-3.
The Scots are back in action on Thursday when they take on Warner at 3 p.m.
