Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro men's tennis team scored a pair of conference wins over West Chester and Millersville winning the PSAC regular season title on Sunday.
The Scots opened Sunday with a a 4-0 win over West Chester.
Stanislas Noel and
Mathis Amsellem won the top doubles flight 6-4 and
Nils Weskamp and
Leon Grassnickel were 6-3 winners to bring home the doubles point for Edinboro. Noel defeated Lucas Henke 6-1, 6-2 to win number one singles.
Weskamp scored a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Sam Robertson at number six and
Arsen Tabaldyev clinched the 4-0 win with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Felix Weber at number four.
Against Millersville, Edinboro scored a 7-0 victory. The Scots swept the doubles competition with Noel and Amseelem winning 6-3,
Thomas Buchard and
Gerardo Garrido Guzman earning a 6-2 victory and Weskamp and Grassnickel taking the number three spot 6-3.
Noel battled to a 7-6, 6-4 win over Lina Marin at number one singles. Amsellem was a 6-3, 6-0 winner over Victor Suarez at the number two spot. Buchard took on Jasper de Koning winning the first set 7-5 before closing out the match with a 6-0 win in the second.
Fabricio Sosa Pons was a 6-1, 6-3 winner over Sebas Castro at number four. In the number five slot, Tabaldyev defeated Sandor Wulf 6-4, 6-3. Guzman rounded out the lineup winning 6-3, 6-2 over Joel Oetliker at number six.
The Scots final regular season match is slated for April 25 when they take on Jefferson in Lock Haven.
