Craig and Bryer Join Football Staff

Edinboro, Pa. – Edinboro football has added Rashad Craig and Max Bryer to the coaching staff.

Craig will coach the defensive line while Bryer will be the tight ends coach and special teams coordinator.

Craig has spent that last three seasons coaching the defensive line at Lock Haven. In his time with the Bald Eagles, the defensive line amassed 52.5 sacks and 99 tackles for loss. He coached Lock Haven's all-time sacks and tackles for loss leader Justin Anderson. Prior to his time at Lock Haven, Craig was a volunteer assistant coaching the defensive line at Saint Vincent College. Craig played his college football at California (Pa.).

"Coach Craig did a tremendous job at Lock Haven," said head coach Matt Scott. "He understands the importance of building strong relationships with players and I am confident he will do a great job developing and leading our defensive line."

Bryer joins the Edinboro staff after spending last season as the offensive quality control coach at Eastern Michigan. In his season at Eastern Michigan, he assisted tight ends in practice preparation and individual drills. He also assisted in opponent scout. Prior to his time with the Eagles, Bryer served as an assistant offensive line coach at Robert Morris. He also spent the Spring of 2024 as the Tight Ends Student Assistant at Kenyon College in Ohio.

"I am excited to add Coach Bryer to our staff, another guy with strong ties to Western PA," said Scott. "He came highly recommended from the coaching staffs at Eastern Michigan and Robert Morris. He has impressed me with his attention to detail and organization, two skills that are imperative as a special teams' coordinator. I also look forward to him developing our young but talented tight end room.
