Bloomsburg, Pa. – The Edinboro football team dropped a 34-18 decision to host Bloomsburg Saturday afternoon inside Redman Stadium.

The Scots struck when Amari Jones stepped in front of a KJ Riley pass and returned it 80 yards for a touchdown. Bo Swartz converted the two-point attempt giving Edinboro an 8-0 lead at the 10:03 mark of the opening quarter.

On the ensuing drive, Bloomsburg moved the ball 65 yards on 14 plays capped by a Riley 1-yard run cutting the lead to 8-7 with 3:52 left in the opening quarter.

Edinboro put together a long scoring drive of their own covering 79 yards on 14 plays taking 6:57 off the clock and extending the lead 11-7 on a Tanner Bruzda 27-yard field goal.

The Huskies grabbed the lead on Riley's second touchdown run of the game this time from three yards out on fourth down to make it 14-8 with 6:28 to play in the half. Bloomsburg would take that advantage into the locker room.

In the third quarter, the Huskies received the kickoff to open the half. The Scots forced a third and 13 from the Bloomsburg 36 when Riley found Jerry Griffen-Batchler for a 54-yard catch and run to extend the lead to 20-11 after a missed extra point.

Edinboro answered on the next drive. The Scots took the ball from their own 27-yard line and converted on a pair of third downs to push the ball to the Bloomsburg 36. A pair of Caron Robinson runs advanced the ball to the Bloomsburg 29. An incomplete pass set up a fourth and three from the 29. After a timeout, Nico Marchitelli drew the Huskies offsides and took advantage of the free play finding Junior Aderomillehin in the endzone for a 29-yard touchdown cutting the lead to 20-18 with 6:39 left in the third.

Bloomsburg came back with a touchdown on the ensuing drive with Riley and Griffen-Batchler connecting for a 23-yard touchdown with 56 seconds remaining in the third. The Huskies added a touchdown with 4:23 on the clock in the fourth to set the final on a seven-yard run by Gabe Brower.
