BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -- The Edinboro football team is on the road on Saturday visiting Bloomsburg for a 2 p.m. kickoff at Danny Hale Field at Redman Stadium.

The Game
Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the PSAC Sports Digital Network and live stats will be provided by Bloomsburg Athletics. Joe Lodanosky will have the call on Cool 101.7 which will be also be streaming at cool0107online.com. Pregame on the radio begins at 1 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT EDINBORO
The Scots came out away with a 38-36 triple overtime victory over Ohio Dominican last Thursday. Nico Marchitelli found Jerry Dinkins III in the flat for a walk-off two-point conversion in the third overtime. Bo Swartz accounted for four touchdowns two passing and two rushing. Jacob Coburn caught seven passes for 103 yards. Ty Reali made 12 tackles, seven solo, while also grabbing an interception to lead the defense.

LAST TIME OUT BLOOMSBURG
The Huskies are also 1-0 on the season after scoring a 35-13 win over Fairmont State in Week 1. Bloomsburg rushed for 219 yards and four touchdowns led by 20 carries for 135 yards and two touchdowns from Declan Clancy. Justin Wolfe led the receivers with three catches for 95 yards and a score. Nahzier Booker was a disruptive force on defense making eight tackles with 2.5 sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss.

CRANDALL'S FIRST WIN
The new head coach of the Fighting Scots had to wait through a lightning delay and three overtimes before earning his first win of the season and his head coaching career. The Scots rallied from a 21-7 deficit to knock off Ohio Dominican.

HONOR ROLL
Reali was named the PSAC West Defensive Player of the Week in Week 1. He led the Scots with 12 total tackles and seven of them being solo. He also stopped an Ohio Dominican drive with an interception at the Scot 3-yard line. The pick set up the Scots 13-play, 95-yard game-tying touchdown drive.

FAMILIAR FOES
Edinboro and Bloomsburg meet for the fifth straight season an unusual situation for PSAC Crossover opponents. The Scots and Huskies have split the last four meetings since 2022. The two teams are also slated to play in the first crossover of the 2027 season.

TWO QUARTERBACKS
The Scots played both veteran quarterbacks Marchitelli and Swartz with both having success. Marchitelli completed 19 passes for 258 yards and a touchdown. Swartz was 2-for-3 for 26 yards and two scores and rushed for 26 yards and two touchdowns. 

PRESEASON POLL
The Scots were selected fourth in the PSAC West Preseason Coaches' Poll. IUP topped the poll with five first-place votes while Slippery Rock received three firsts to slot in second. California (Pa.) was third. After the Scots came Clarion, Seton Hill, Lock Haven and Gannon.

CAMPBELL TROPHY NOMINEE
Senior quarterback Nico Marchitelli was nominated and is a candidate for the National Football Foundations William V. Campbell Trophy that is awarded to the nation's top football scholar-athlete. The winner must excel in academics, football and leadership.
