EDINBORO, Pa. -- The Edinboro football team plays host to West Chester Saturday afternoon in their final contest before PSAC West play.

The Game
Kickoff is slated for noon on Saturday. Fans can buy their tickets here with adult tickets at $12 and students, veterans and seniors at $6. New this year is the VIP Tailgating Parking Lot located directly behind the visiting stands off of Perry Avenue. These tailgaiting spots will be cash only at $5 per spot and $10 for RVs. All proceeds from the tailgating lot will benefit Edinboro women's lacrosse. Live video will be on the PSAC Digital Network and live stats will be provided by Edinboro Athletics.

LAST TIME OUT EDINBORO
The Scots earned a 9-6 victory in a defensive battle at Bloomsburg last Saturday. Jerry Dinkins III led the offense with 96 yards on 18 carries and the game's only touchdown. Jeremiah Neeley caught four passes for 58 yards. Montrice Webster paced the defense with seven tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, and a forced fumble that set up the Dinkins touchdown. Elijah Wentz and Wyatt Wallick each also tallied seven stops as the Edinboro defense held Bloomsburg to just 10 first downs and 171 total yards.

LAST TIME OUT WEST CHESTER
The Golden Rams are currently 1-1 after dropping a 27-21 double-overtime loss to IUP. West Chester trailed 14-0 after three, but two non-offensive touchdowns, a 5-yard interception return and a blocked field goal returned for a touchdown tied the game with 3:18 to play. The teams traded touchdowns in the first overtime and the Golden Rams were stopped in the seoncd OT to come up short in the comeback win. Colin O'Sullivan was 27-of-55 for 229, a touchdown and two picks. Luke Trunell made 12 tackles to lead the defense.

QUICK START
Edinboro is off to a 2-0 start for the first time since 2018 when they started 3-0 and finished the season 6-5 overall. 

HONOR ROLL
Webster added his name to the PSAC West Player of the Week list for his performance against Bloomsburg in Week 2. He made seven total tackles, four solo, three for a loss and forced a fumble that set up the only touchdown of the game.
Ty Reali was named the PSAC West Defensive Player of the Week in Week 1. He led the Scots with 12 total tackles and seven of them being solo. He also stopped an Ohio Dominican drive with an interception at the Scot 3-yard line. The pick set up the Scots 13-play, 95-yard game-tying touchdown drive.

KEEPING IT CLEAN
The Scots are eighth in Division II with just 62 total penalty yards. Their 31.0 yards per game of penalties ranks 10th in nation and atop the PSAC. Edinboro has also protected the football with just one turnover on the season ranking ninth in Division II.

DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Edinboro defense has been tough against the pass ranking 12th in the country and second in the PSAC with opponents averaging just 120.5 yards per game through the air. The Scot defense ranks 17th nationally in pass efficiency defense. The Edinboro defense ranks 18th in total defense allowing an average of 257. 5 yards the third best mark in the conference.

GOING FOR IT
Edinboro has gone for it on fourth down six times in the first two games of the season. They have converted on four of those attempts. They rank fourth in the PSAC and 27th in the nation in fourth-down conversion rate.
