EDINBORO, Pa. — The Edinboro men's cross country team placed second at the Doug Watts Open Saturday afternoon at the Doug Watts Cross Country Course.
Antonucci finished fourth in the 6k race with a time of 20:13.6.
Michael Donlon turned in a time of 20:27.7 to take 10th.
Wesley Kellermeier finished 11th in 20:28.1.
PJ Berger placed 18th in 20:54.3.
Donald Shymske finished 21st in 20:59.7 rounding out the scoring times.
After the Scots' men's team finished second at the Doug Watts Open, head coach
Jamison Dietrich said, "I think we had a decent run, but we can still do better.
Ralph Antonucci kind of went for it, led probably 5 or 5.5 kilometers out of the 6K, so I liked how he raced aggressively he didn't quite have enough at the end, but he'll be a little better in an 8K." Dietrich also pointed to
Michael Donlon's progress, saying, "I think
Michael Donlon had a great summer and was the number two today, so he's improved a ton. A couple of freshmen ran great too,
Riley McGee, Justin Simms."
The Fighting Scots travel to Rochester, N.Y., for the Harry F Anderson Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026.
