Played for head coach Tom Langworthy at Jamestown High School, where he was a former teammate of Edinboro quarterback Jake Sisson … helped the Red Raiders to the New York Class AA state championship as a senior, ending the year with a 12-1 record … defeated Newburgh Free Academy 41-20 in the state title game … a three-year, two-way starter who was named to the 2014 New York State Sportswriters Association Class AA first team … recipient of the Trench Trophy as the top lineman in WNY, the first Jamestown player to win the award, and earned the Jim Burt Award as WNY’s Outstanding Defensive Lineman … also a first team All-Western NY and first team all-league selection … had 86 tackles as a senior with 28 tackles for losses and 5 sacks … named to All-Academic Team, as well … as a junior, helped Jamestown to a 10-1 record, finishing with 69 tackles, with 14.5 TFL, 5 sacks, and 2 fumble recoveries while earning All-WNY honors … Red Raiders won the Section VI championship before losing to Aquinas Institute in Far West Regional Championship (NYS quarterfinals) … had 50 tackles with 9 TFL and 2 sacks as a sophomore.
