Enjoyed an outstanding freshman campaign, falling one win shy of All-American status in his first trip to the NCAA Division I National Championships … was named the EWL and PSAC Freshman of the Year, and was selected to the Amateur Wrestling News All-Rookie Team … led the Fighting Scots in wins with a 32-9 record with 6 falls, 4 technical falls, and 5 major decisions while competing at 149 lbs. … at the end of the year, was ranked 18th by InterMat, Flowrestling, Amateur Wrestling News and the WrestlingReport.com, and 19th by TheOpenMat.com … won the PSAC championship and finished third at the EWL Championships … challenged Gregor Gillespie's record for most consecutive wins as a true freshman, winning his first 20 matches. Gillespie holds the record with wins in his first 23 matches … went into Nationals seeded 16th and went 3-2, with the two losses to top-seeded Zain Retherford of Penn State and Lavion Mayes of Missouri, the third seed … included in his wins was a fall at 6:03 over Nick Barber of Eastern Michigan after entering the third period trailing 3-0 … in his next match, won an impressive 4-0 decision over EWL-rival B.J. Clagon of Rider … reached the round of 12 before falling to Mayes  … while running off 20 straight wins to start his career, won the 149 lb. title at the PSAC Championships, winning all four of his matches by bonus points, including a 10-2 major decision over Mercyhurst's Jeremy Landowski in the finals … also finished first at Roadrunner Open, and reached the quarterfinals at the Southern Scuffle … finished third at the EWL Championships, losing a 9-6 decision to 20th-ranked Clagon in the semifinals, before coming back in the wrestlebacks with technical fall and major decision … won the third place match via an 11-2 major decision over George Mason's Blake Ruolo.

Was a four-time Florida place winner, winning state titles as a junior and senior, for South Dade High School and head coach Humberto Reyna … finished third as a sophomore … was ranked 11th by InterMat at 152 lbs. …. went undefeated his final two seasons, finishing with a 67-0 record in 2014-15 and 61-0 in 2013-14 … ended his career with 132 consecutive victories dating back to a string of four straight wins in the consolation bracket of the state championships his sophomore year … captured his second straight Class 3A crown, winning the 152 lb. title as a senior … won his third Region 4 title and fourth straight District 16 championship, pinning all seven opponents … at the state championships, his closest match was decided by six points, and he won his second straight FHSAA Class 3A state championship with a 16-4 major decision over Giovanny Bonilla of Osceola High School … as a junior, brought home his first state title, winning at 138 lbs. with a 3-2 decision over Sal Guerriero of Saint Thomas Aquinas in the finals … South Dade won the first of back-to-back state championships in 2014 …  took third place as a sophomore at the 2013 FHSAA State Championships while competing at 132 lbs. … ended the year with a 59-9 ledger, earning his second District 16 crown while finishing third at the Region 4-3A championships … as a freshman in 2011-12, won his first district and region championships … would reach the seventh place match, but the state did not wrestle those matches off … ended his first campaign with a 52-7 record.
