One of 146 nominees for an 2017 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team … was the recipient of the inaugural Dr. Joseph Laythe Award in February 2017, recognizing his dedication to championing justice through both on- and off-campus contributions … noted for his volunteer work, including organized the "12th Man" program a year ago, through which a local student with a disability or recovering from a life-threatening illness joined the football team as an honorary member at each home game … at the end of the season, he organized a banquet for "12th Man" participants … he was featured on the PASSHE website during the summer for his work off the gridiron.
2016
Moved to tight end, where he appeared in all 11 games, including starting the first three contests … caught one pass for six yards against Indiana(Pa.) … also had a tackle on special teams against Mercyhurst.
2015
Played in all 11 contests, starting 4 games at Drop linebacker … finished with 28 tackles, including 12 solo and 16 assists … had 2.5 tackles for losses and 2 passes broken up … led Fighting Scots with 10 tackles in first career game against Saint Joseph’s … added 6 tackles in the season finale at Millersville, along with a tackle for loss.

Was a three-year starter for head coach Jim Berlin at Smethport Area High School … as a senior, ran for 717 yards on 135 carries with 6 TDs, and defensively had 163 tackles, with 4 sacks and an interception … as a junior, totaled 94 tackles with a sack … was a two-time Allegany Mountain Conference All-Star and also a two-time Smethport Defensive Player of the Year … a Big 30 All-Star …named Smethport’s Male Athlete of the Year as a senior … also competed in baseball, basketball, and track & field for the Hubbers … as a senior averaged a double-double in basketball with 10.1 ppg. and 10.8 rpg. to earn NTL All-Star accolades … was a Big 30 All-Star in baseball.
