Played for head coach Dave Marino at Palmetto High School, helping the Tigers finish with a 9-4 record in 2018 … entered FHSAA Class 7A Tournament as the seventh seed, upsetting second-seed Pinellas Park, 38-21, in the quarterfinals before losing to sixth-seed Bloomingdale, 21-14, in the semifinals … in 2017, Palmetto went 11-4, reaching the FHSAA Region 3 semifinals … named to FloridaHSFootball.com 2018 Class 7A All-State second team as an offensive lineman …  was a first team Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-District 16 selection at offensive line and first team HT Preps All-Area choice … selected to play in the 64th Florida Coaches Athletic Association North/South All-Star Football Classic … also excelled as a wrestler and power lifter, qualifying for regionals in both … was 25-11 and a regional qualifier in wrestling as a junior, then won District 2A-10 title as a senior.
