Was a four-year starter at Freedom Area High School for head coach Jim Covert … finished career with 125-52 record … was a PIAA Class AA state qualifier at 145 lbs. as a senior after finishing second at sectional championship … ended the year with a 36-14 record … as a junior, was 32-11 at 138 lbs., finishing first at the section and district championships … also posted a 30-win campaign as a sophomore, going 30-12 and finishing second at the sectional at 132 lbs. … was 27-15 as a freshman … the Bulldogs were three-time WPIAL district runners up …, Freedom qualified for the PIAA Team Championships twice … also earned four letters and was a three-year starter in football.
