Two-time PIAA placewinner at Jeannette(Pa.) High School who will compete at 141 lbs... likely candidate to redshirt this year, but head coach Tim Flynn notes that “he has as good a work ethic as any kid we have” ... Flynn also noted that he was a wrestler who wanted to be at Edinboro and train with the team ... expected to be a big part of the team’s future.

HIGH SCHOOL
Four-year starter for head coach Matt Lebe at Jeannette High School ... finished with a 120-34 career record ... was 46-6 as a senior and placed eighth at the PIAA Class AA State Championships at 135 lbs... took third place at the Southwest Regional for the second straight year and was second at the WPIAL Class AA Championships ...  as a junior was 34-7 and finished sixth at 130 lbs. at the PIAA Class AA State Championships ... lost in the 130 lb. WPIAL Class AA finals and won the Section 2 title ... was 25-7 as a sophomore while wrestling at 125 lbs... finished second in the section and fourth in the WPIAL ... as a freshman competed at 125 lbs. and qualified for the WPIAL Class AA tournament thanks to a fourth place finish in Section 2 ... ended the year with a 15-13 record ... following his senior year he competed in the Dapper Dan-WPIAL, winning by fall over Kraig Esswein.
