Moved up to 165 lbs. and qualified for Nationals for the second time … ended the year with a 19-15 record with three falls and three major decisions … went 0-2 at National, dropping a pair of close decisions … that was the story of his season, as ten of his losses came on decisions of three points or less … took third place at the EWL Championships, defeating Corey Carlo of Cleveland State, 10-4, in the third place match … was second at the PSAC Championships, advancing with an 11-3 major decision over Robert Scheivert of Shippensburg and a fall at 6:36 over Lock Haven’s Aaron McKinney, before suffering a 6-3 loss to Bloomsburg’s Josh Veltre in the finals … was also second at the MSU Open and the UB Open, defeating Veltre 3-2 in the semifinals at Buffalo before losing to UB’s Mark Lewandowski by a 6-3 decision in the finals.

2011-12
Placed in six open events while redshirting … started out the year at 157 lbs. before moving up to 165 lbs… ended the year with a 33-8 record, with four falls, a technical fall, and eight major decisions … took first place at the Simonsen Open and Edinboro Open while competing at 165 lbs… took third place at the UB Open and CSU Open, along with a fourth place showing at the Binghamton Open and fifth at the Nittany Lion Open … three of his losses were to wrestlers who would earn All-American honors.

2010-11
Enjoyed strong sophomore campaign, falling one win shy of All-American honors in his first trip to Nationals ... ended the year with a 26-15 record with 3 falls, a technical fall and 5 major decisions ... went 3-2 at Nationals, winning his first match with a fall at 5:30 over Barret Abel ... lost to second-seeded Steve Fittery of American by technical fall in the second round, the second time he fell to Fittery in 2010-11 ... picked up back-to-back wins, including a 3-2 upset of tenth-seeded Daryl Coccozzo of Rutgers, a former Fighting Scot ... was eliminated via an 11-3 major decision to top-seeded Adam Hall of Boise State with All-American honors on the line ... reached Nationals thanks to a third place finish at the EWL?Tournament ... defeated Pittsburgh’s Donnie Tasser, 4-2, in the third place bout ... finished second at the PSAC?Championships, falling to 17th-ranked James Fleming in the finals ... was third at the Keystone Classic.

2009-10
Ended the year with a 24-21 record, jumping in as the starter at 157 lbs. after Matt Laird went down in early December … had four technical falls and seven major decisions … spent the first month of the season wrestling in open tournaments in anticipation of redshirting … took third place at the EWL Championships thanks to a 5-2 decision over West Virginia’s Kyle Eason … placed third at the Ashland Open and was also third at the EMU Open freshman and sophomore division … narrowly missed upsetting tenth-ranked Thomas Scotton of North Carolina, losing 4-3 in the dual.

HIGH SCHOOL
Two-time New York state champion while competing for head coach James Murphy at Wantagh High School ... a five-year starter for the Warriors who came away with the 152 lb. state title as a senior ... that capped a 42-0 season and brought his career record to 182-14 ... named to Amateur Wrestling News Senior High School All-America Team and ranked seventh in Wrestling USA’s 2008-09 High School All-Class Rankings ... also named to ASICS All-America Team as an honorable mention choice ... won the 145 lb. championship as a junior, finishing with a 49-1 record ... helped Wantagh to team state championship as a senior ... a two-time national runner-up ... earned all-county honors four times and was a five-time all-conference honoree ... also a four-year starter in cross country.
