Had a breakthrough season, earning his first trip to Nationals thanks to a second place finish at the EWL Championships at 125 lbs… would end the year with a 24-11 record with 5 falls, 3 technical falls and 5 major decisions … went 2-2 at Nationals, losing his first match by technical fall to eighth-seeded Cory Clark of Iowa … came back to win his next two matches, a 6-3 decision over Caleb Richardson of Penn and a win by fall at 3:40 over Jared Germaine of Eastern Michigan … was eliminated by 15th-seeded Anthony Zanetta of Pittsburgh by major decision … ended the year ranked 17th by TheOpenMat.com and 18th by InterMat, along with 15th by WIN and 21st by the WrestlingReport … finished second at the EWL Championships for the second year in a row following a 2-1 loss to 14th-ranked Robert Deutsch of Rider, his second loss to Deutsch this year … took home his first PSAC title thanks to an 8-2 decision over Dave Fogle of Pitt-Johnstown in the finals … was third at the MSU Open, going 4-1 ... went 3-2 at the Midlands Championships …  twice defeated nationally-ranked Joey Dance of Virginia Tech, 4-2 and 1-0 … also had a 15-4 major decision over then 20th-ranked Brandon Jeske of Old Dominion.

2012-13
Ended the year with a 16-18 record as the starter at 125 lbs… had one fall, one technical fall and three major decisions … reached the finals of the EWL Championships before losing by fall to Cleveland State’s Ben Willeford to take home second place … was also second at the PSAC Championships, upsetting Sean Boylan of Bloomsburg 6-5 in the semifinals, before dropping a 10-4 decision to Lock Haven’s Bobby Rehm … also placed second at UB Open … one of top efforts came against fourth-ranked Jarrod Garnett of Virginia Tech, nearly upsetting the Hokie in the Virginia Duals before losing 7-4.
 
2011-12
Had an up-and-down first year as a starter at 125 lbs., ending with a 15-18 record with a fall, two technical falls and two major decisions … was second at the UB Open, dropping a 6-0 decision to 19th-ranked Anthony Zanetta of Pittsburgh in the finals … took third place at the PSAC Championships, pinning Desmond Moore of Kutztown at 4:36 in the third place match … was fourth at the EWL Championships.

2010-11
Competed in open events at 125 lbs. while redshirting ... had a 17-5 record with a fall, a technical fall and 6 major decisions ... took second place at UB?Open, going 3-1 ... captured third place at Ashland Bill Harris Open, winning consolation title with 20-12 major decision over Gannon’s Matt Turek ... was also third at Cleveland State Open, defeating Central Michigan’s Joe Roth 12-6 in third place bout.   

HIGH SCHOOL
Was a two-time Ohio state champion for head coach Jamie Milkovich at Maple Heights High School … a four-time Ohio state place winner who capped a brilliant high school career by winning the Division I 112 lb. championship … defeated Mitch Newhouse of Massillon Perry by a 7-0 decision in the title match … ended the year with a 41-2 and finished his career with a 163-12 record … holds the career record for wins for the Mustangs … won the 103 lb. state championship as a junior after placing second as a sophomore and sixth as a freshman … had a 41-4 record as a junior … was ranked seventh by Amateur Wrestling News at 112 lbs. as a senior.
