2012: Sat out entire season with injury suffered just prior to start of the season … had won starting placekicking job prior to that.

2011: Played in five games handling the kickoff duties … averaged 51.6 yards on 21 kickoffs, with one touchback.

High School: Played for head coach Brian Herrick at Greenville High School … three-year letterwinner who finished career with 111 points and 21 touchbacks … made 29 of 32 extra points along with one field goal as a senior … made 35 of 40 PATs and one field goal in 2009, helping his Trojans to a 7-4 record … was Region 3 first team kicker/punter as a senior … as a junior earned second team All-Region honors at kicker … earned PA Football News Academic All-State Gold following junior and senior seasons.

Personal: Born September 21, 1992 … Business Administration major … son of Darla and Mark Simons … grandfather, Kirk Hielman, played basketball at Grove City College.
