High School:  Record-setting quarterback for Port Allegany High School, where his father Mike was the head coach … was selected Pennsylvania’s Gatorade Player of the Year and was the Pennsylvania Football News “Mr. Football 2012” and the PFN Class A Offensive Player of the Year … was also named a Max Preps 2012 Small School First Team All-American, along with earning all-state, all-region and all-area honors … was named the District 9 Player of the Year … was a first team all-state selection as a junior and senior by both Associated Press and Pennsylvania Football News, and an honorable mention pick in 2010 by PFN … was a Mr. PA Football Top Five finalist in 2011 and 2012 … set PIAA state records for career touchdowns passing (137), career passing yards (10,948), career combined offensive touchdowns (177), and career total offense (13,263) … as a senior he set PIAA season records for yards passing (3,951) and touchdowns passing (52) while leading the Gators to a 13-1 record and a berth in the Class A semifinals … also ran for 832 yards and 13 TDs in 2012 … completed 227 of 323 passes and threw just eight interceptions … other honors include:  Olean Times Big 30 Player of the Year in 2011 and ’12; “D9 Sports” Most Valuable Player in 2102, plus District IX Offensive Player of the Year both years … three-time Allegheny Mountain League All-Star while leading Port Allegany to the league and district championships in 2011 and ’12 … as a junior, completed 247 of 378 passes for 3,766 yards with 49 TDs and 6 INTs, adding 806 yards and 14 TDs rushing … threw for 1,992 yards with 22 TDs and 10 INTs, adding 574 yards and 10 TDs as a sophomore, and as a freshman accounted for 1,239 yards passing with 14 TDs and 4 INTs and rushing for 3 more touchdowns  … also a standout in basketball and baseball, earning North Tier All-Star honors in basketball in 2010 and ’11 and in baseball in 2009 and ’11.
