2013: Started first game against Walsh at Mike linebacker but was lost for the season early in the game with a knee injury … had one tackle.

2012: Appeared in eight games as a reserve at linebacker and special teams performer … finished with 21 tackles with 2.0 tackles for losses and a pass broken up … had career-high 5 tackles at Slippery Rock, adding a pass broken up … had 4 tackles against LIU Post and Mercyhurst.

2011: Appeared in nine games, finishing with 3 unassisted tackles, including a half sack had two of the assisted hits and the half sack against Cheyney.

2010: Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Three-sport standout in football, wrestling and baseball at Frewsburg Central High School, playing football for head coach Terry Gray … three-year starter in football, leading team in tackles all three years … finished with 341 career tackles … earned Class D All-Star honors three times … earned all-state accolades in wrestling, where he was a five-year starter … as a senior took fifth place at the New York State wrestling championships while competing at 189 lbs… finished career with a 138-56 career record … was a three-year starter in baseball helping team reach New York state playoffs twice.

PERSONAL: Born May 7, 1992 … Criminla Justice major ... son of Christine Mitchell and Dave Mitchell … has one brother, Nick, who is a sophomore on the Edinboro wrestling team … father was All-American wrestler at University at Buffalo, finishing fourth at 177 lbs. in 1978.
