Colyn Haugh joined the Edinboro coaching staff in the summer of 2023 as the Offensive Line coach and Run Game Coordinator, after spending last season as the Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach at Division III Westminster College (PA). Under Haugh’s tutelage, the Titans offense earned its first Offensive Player of the Year in over ten years as well as its first 1,000 yard rusher since 2015, in Ryan Gomes.
Prior to becoming the Offensive Coordinator, Haugh spent the previous three years as the Associate Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator. While in charge of the Defense, the Titans were two time Presidents Athletic Conference(PAC) champions, sharing the title in the fall of 2021. The Titans defense ranked among the League leaders each of Haugh’s three years at the helm. Haugh’s defenses held its opponents to less than 3 yds/carry in two of his three years in charge of the unit. Among the many players Coach Haugh has mentored and developed were Brayden Thimons, who was a two time Division III All American and two time PAC Defensive Player of the year. In addition to Thimons, Ian Barr was PAC Defensive Player of the year, and 1st Team Division III All American.
Haugh’s first five years at Westminster College were on the Offensive Side of the ball, where he was the Offensive Line Coach. Haugh’s offensive lines were named twice to the D3Football.com team of the week for exceptional performances against PAC foe’s Bethany College and Waynesburg University. Numerous members of the Offensive Line from 2014 – 2019 were named to either the PAC 1st or 2nd All-Conference teams. In 2015, the Westminster Offense, earned its first 1,000 yard rusher since the early 2000’s.
Prior to joining the staff at Westminster, Haugh spent four years (2010-2014) at Division 1 FCS Saint Francis University as the Defensive Line Coach, where they were able to take a 118th ranked defense and turn it into a Top 10 defense.
Haugh began his coaching career in 2007 at his Alma Mater, Division 1 FCS Robert Morris University, where he was a graduate assistant for the defense line. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Robert Morris University in 2007 after wrapping up his playing career where he earned 2nd Team All-Northeast Conference his senior season.”
