Elliott Pater is a former linebacker for the Geneva Golden Tornadoes of the Presidents Athletic Conference. At Geneva, he majored in computer science and graduated in May of 2019.
After his undergrad career, he completed a masters degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University - Irvine in the summer of 2020. The Lancaster, New York native and Lancaster Central High grad was a former scholar-athlete in high school.
He joined the Fighting Scots staff in the spring of 2020 and brings a lifetime love for football to Edinboro. The longtime Buffalo Bills fan lists Fred Jackson and Bruce Smith as his favorite players in Bills franchise history, while now, he lists the University of Wyoming dual-threat quarterback Josh Allen as his favorite current Bills player.
When asking Pater about Edinboro, he said “I really like the culture that is building here. I enjoy the mindset of the coaching staff, and I think this group of coaches and players can help bring greatness to Edinboro.”
One person who is proud of his position at Edinboro is his grandmother. "My grandmother was proud to hear that I am now with the coaching staff at Edinboro. She originally wanted me to attend Edinboro because of how Scottish we are."
