Director of Offense/Offensive Line/Recruiting Coordinator/Social Media Coordinator
5th Year
Edinboro '13

Former Edinboro offensive lineman Jack Corey joined the Fighting Scots staff in July 2015 as a part-time assistant, and in 2017 transitioned to a full-time position. Now in his fifth season overall, he has been elevated to Director of Offense while continuing to work with the offensive linemen. He has also previously also worked with the tight ends. Corey will also serve as the recruiting coordinator and spearhead Edinboro’s social media efforts.

Improvement has been displayed in each of Corey’s years overseeing the offensive line. A year ago, the Fighting Scots ranked second in the PSAC and 32nd in Division II in sacks allowed (1.36), allowing just 15 sacks overall. The Fighting Scots averaged 186.1 ypg. rushing, good for fourth in the PSAC, while paving the way for 1,624 yards rushing for Walter Fletcher. Trey Staunch earned second team All-PSAC West honors, the first Edinboro offensive lineman to receive all-conference recognition since 2011.

In 2017, the unit ranked third in the PSAC and 24th in Division II in sacks allowed with 13. That marked the third straight year the Fighting Scots decreased their sacks allowed figure.  That came despite Edinboro featuring an offense that relied greatly on the forward pass.

The 2017 offensive line led Fletcher to a school-record 1,740 yards, ranking second in Division II in rushing yards per game. With the offensive line leading the way, Fetcher was a consensus All-American.

In 2015, Corey helped the Fighting Scots make great strides. After finishing last in the PSAC in 2014 in sacks allowed with 57, 25 more than the next team in the conference, in 2015, Edinboro improved to eighth in the PSAC, allowing just 24 sacks.

The Fighting Scots did even better in 2016.  Thanks to solid offensive line play, Edinboro ranked tenth in NCAA Division II and third in the PSAC in scoring offense at 41.5 ppg. The offense averaged 433.2 yards per game while allowing just 14 sacks despite a school-record 549 pass attempts. Edinboro was second in the PSAC and 24th in the country in sacks allowed per game.

Corey was an offensive lineman with the Fighting Scots from 2008-12. He appeared in 20 contests during that period.

12096A 2013 graduate of Edinboro with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration, he served as a volunteer assistant coach with the Fighting Scots from August 2013 to July 2014 During the 2013 campaign, the offensive line allowed 15 fewer sacks than in 2012. He was an assistant coach at Salisbury University during the 2014 season, coaching the running backs. The Sea Gulls ranked fifth in Division III in rushing and featured an All-Empire 8 running back. He was an assistant coach with East Coast Prep in Barrington, Ma., since January 2015, serving as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator, before joining the Edinboro staff.

A native of Canandaigua, NY, Corey was a member of the Erie Express semi-professional team in 2013 and ‘14. He also served an internship with the Erie Sports Commission and interned as an assistant to the Athletic Director at the Millcreek School District.  He was a member of the Edinboro men’s club lacrosse team from 2011-13.

Corey is single and resides in Edinboro.
