2013: Missed early part of season due to injury, returning to play in the final seven games … started the Clarion game …finished with 16 tackles, with 1.5 tackles for losses and a sack … broke up one pass … had season-high 5 tackles against Slippery Rock and Kutztown, with a sack against the Golden Bears.

2012: Played in nine games, starting first six games at Will linebacker before injuries limited him the rest of the year … finished seventh on the team in tackles with 42, with 3.5 tackles for losses and a sack … also had an interception and broke up a pair of passes … posted career-high 11 tackles, including 7 solo, in win at Lock Haven … added a pair tackles for losses and a sack against the Bald Eagles …had 9 tackles vs. Bloomsburg and 8 against Gannon … recorded first career interception against California(Pa.).

2011: Appeared in all 11 games as a backup linebacker and special teams performer … finished with 20 tackles, 12 of those solo, with 0.5 tackles for losses … had 4 passes broken up and a fumble recovery … had season-high 4 tackles against California(Pa.), along with a pass breakup … also blocked a field goal against the Vulcans … had 3 tackles against Cheyney, Indiana(Pa.) and East Stroudsburg, along with a fumble recovery vs. the Warriors.

2010: Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year starter for head coach Larry Pinto at Mayfield High School, helping Wildcats to 32-6 record during that period … a two-way starter at fullback and linebacker finishing with 8 TDs and 98 tackles a year ago … Mayfield was 10-2 his sophomore and senior years and 12-2 his junior season … earned all-conference honors as a junior and senior and was also a first team All-Great Lakes District choice and honorable mention Division I All-Ohio pick … was also a three-year starter in wrestling, finishing as Division I state runnerup at 171 lbs. as a junior and posting a 27-4 record.

PERSONAL: Born March 5, 1991 … Health & Physical Education (Teacher Certification) major with a 3.14 GPA … son of Nadine and Stephen Hayes … has one brother (xxx) … mother played volleyball at Edinboro.
