2018
Appeared in all 11 games, with five starts in the secondary … finished with 43 tackles, with 23 solo … had 4 tackles for losses, along with 2 interceptions and 5 passes broken up, which was tied for fourth on the team … also recovered a fumble … scored his first career touchdown on a lateral following a fumble for 10 yards and six points vs. Lake Erie … had career-high 7 tackles at California(Pa.), along with a forced fumble … added 6 tackles in back-to-back weeks at Mercyhurst and Slippery Rock … had first career interception against East Stroudsburg, and added another against Gannon … broke up a pair of passes in season finale vs. Kutztown. 

2017
Played in all 11 games as a reserve defensive back and on special teams … finished with 14 solo tackles and 9 assists for 23 total tackles … had 1.5 tackles for losses, a pair of passes broken up, and a forced fumble … had a season-high 4 tackles vs. Mercyhurst … added 3 tackles in four other contests – West Chester, Clarion, Seton Hill, and Cheyney.

HIGH SCHOOL
Played for head coach Casey Brown, helping the Brothers to a 10-1 finish and the Class AA sectional championship in 2016 … CBA reached the Class AA state semifinals before losing to Victor … was a sixth team New York Sportswriters Association Class AA all-state selection … also a first team Class AA-I Section 3 All-Star .. finished with 7 carries for 175 yards and a touchdown rushing, with 6 receptions for 92 yards and 2 TDs .. was a four-year starter in football … finished career with 246 tackles and 8 INTs, and scored 15 career TDs … helped the Brothers to two sectional championships.

Born May 28, 1999 … Strategic Communications major with a minor in Music … son of Shirelle and Andre Dowdell Jr…  has three sisters (Kayla, Adora, and Destiny) and one brother (Andre) … brother is redshirt senior wide receiver at Edinboro.
