Appeared in all 11 games, with four starts at left tackle, filling in for injured Alex Molik … made first career start at Mercyhurst … part of an offensive line that helped Edinboro rank second in sacks allowed (1.36) in the PSAC and 32nd in Division II, and fourth in the conference in rushing offense (186.1 ypg.).

Redshirted as a reserve offensive lineman.

HIGH SCHOOL
Was a three-year starter for head coach Mark Heindl at Ridgway Area High School … Elkers finished with a 10-3 record his senior year, winning the District 9 championship and reaching the PIAA Class A quarterfinals … finished the season with 97 tackles, including 11 sacks, along with an interception returned for a touchdown and a blocked punt … named to Pa. Football Writers All-State team and was a two-time Allegany Mountain League All-Star … also a two-time Tri-County All-Star, a Big 30 All-Star, and a District 9 All-Star … also earned four letters in baseball and three in basketball.
