Played for head coach Mark Brooks at Northwestern High School … was a three-year starter and letterwinner in football and also earned three letters and started two years in basketball … set six records in football as a senior … led the Wildcats to a 5-5 record in 2017 … earned second team All-Region honors at quarterback as a senior after rushing and passing for over 1,000 yards … completed 78-of-168 passes for 1,273 yards with 13 TDs and 11 INTs, and ran for 1,054 yards on 156 carries with 15 TDs … was also a standout in the secondary … in 2016, completed 36 of 116 passes for 792 yards with 7 TDs, while also leading the team in rushing with 468 yards and 7 TDs on 101 rushes … played in the Save-an-Eye All-Star Game and North-South All-Star Game             also earned first team All-Region honors in basketball as a senior.
