Played for Maple Grove Chautauqua Lake High School, where he was a teammate of fellow Fighting Scot A.J. Hulton … was a three-year starter for the Thunderbirds … helped the Thunderbirds finish 11-1 in 2014, reaching the NY State Class C semifinals and winning the regional championship … ran for 2,300 yards on 230 carries with 32 TDs, adding another touchdown on a kickoff return … also had 200 yards receiving … earned first team All-State honors, along with being named all-WNY, all-league, and all-county, and a Jamestown Post Journal All-Star … a Connolly Cup finalist … named the Class C Sectional Offensive MVP and the league offensive MVP … was also a four-year starter in track & field and two-year starter in basketball.
