Will Speed

Since graduating from Edinboro in 2020, Speed held several positions in adaptive athletics. Most recently, Speed has worked as the Adaptive / Wheelchair Play Manager for the United States Tennis Association (USTA). He has worked with entities across the state of Florida to provide adaptive play opportunities, develop program parameters for community based adaptive and wheelchair tennis, organize training for facilities to provide adaptive and wheelchair tennis, and market adaptive and wheelchair tennis.
 
While working with the USTA, he served as a Player Services Representative / Event Coordinator for the U.S. Open in 2022 and 2023. Working at the U.S. Open, Speed coordinated on-site event management for wheelchair athletes. He also managed the day-to-day operations of wheelchair tennis tournaments.
 
He spent a decade working as the adaptive program coordinator at Wake the World Adaptative. In his time with Wake the World, Speed developed and implemented adaptive water ski instruction guidelines. He also designed and coordinated Wake the World recreational programs.  
 
As a player for the Scots, Speed played 70 games and made 68 starts. He was a four-time National Wheelchair Basketball Association Academic All-American. He also served as a team captain.
