2010-2011
Concluded an outstanding freshman season with a tremendous showing at PSAC Championships, earning All-PSAC honors in the 200-yard IM by finishing second, capturing an NCAA “B” qualifying time by setting a school record at 1:53.41 … followed that performance up by taking All-PSAC honors in three events the next day – the 200-yard medley relay (second) and 800-medley relay teams (third) each finished top three with Romanini factoring in, and he also recorded another NCAA “B” qualifying time in the 100-yard backstroke with a third place finish in that event … set another school record in the 200-yard butterfly (1:53.93) just two days after he broke the school mark in the 200-yard IM by finishing second in the 200-fly at the conference meet with another NCAA “B” qualifying cut time, his fifth All-PSAC performance.
HIGH SCHOOL
Started all four years on the swim team at Fork Union Military Academy for coach Jim Bocci … five-time All-American … set the Virginia state record time in the 200 IM and holds school records in the 100 backstroke.
PERSONAL
Born June 27, 1991 … Health Promotion/Recreation Administration major with a minor in Coaching ... son of Susan and Ernest Romanini … has two brothers ... brother Dominick was a member of the Shippensburg swimming team.
