Taylor Cudequest

In Coach Taylor's first season as a Fighting Scot, he has coached 3 new School record holders on the team as well as PSAC Champion Madeline Newark who is now the record holder in the Pentathlon with 3,487 points. Bern Zukina and Anna Elder added to the accolades, both performing school record performances of 56.47 in the 400m and 16.70 in the weight throw.
 
Taylor Cudequest took over as the head coach of the Edinboro track & field teams in May of 2024.
 
Cudequest comes to Edinboro after serving as the assistant track & field coach at Sacred Heart. At Sacred Heart, he coached the multi, high jump and pole vault helping three Pioneers to NEC Championships. Coach Taylor coached Owen Nassaney who broke indoor men's high jump record of 2.11 meters during his time with the Pioneers.
 
Prior to Sacred Heart, Cudequest served as an assistant coach at Cerritos College. In his four-years at Cerritos he operated track meets and planned team events while training post collegiately. He Coached Bryce Pearson to an All-American position in the Decathlon and helped Pearson to a second-place finish at the 2022 USA U20 championships in the Decathlon.
 
As an athlete, Cudequest qualified for the New Balance Indoor and Outdoor National Championships, where he placed third in the country and earned All-American honors. In 2021, he qualified for the USA Indoor Track and Field Championships and was 11th overall in the heptathlon.
