Biography
2009-10 NCAA Qualifier in 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard freestyle relay
Broke the school record in the 100-yard butterfly at last February’s PSAC Championships with a time of 57:07, breaking the record she had set previously in the season ... also holds the program record in the 200-butterfly, set last year as well (2:07.88) ... also was part of 200-yard medlay relay team which set the school record with a time of 1:45.64, along with Alexis Berdine, Kate Marschner and Hannah Rankin ... honored by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America as a Scholar All-American before the 2011-12 season by achieving a “B” time standard in respective national championship and a semester GPA over 3.50 … came in ninth in the 100-yard butterfly and was ninth in the 100-yard backstroke with an NCAA B qualifying time at the 2009 PSAC Championships ... was on 400-yard medley relay team that placed seventh ... at 2010 PSAC Championships, was a member of 400- and 200-yard medley relay teams that set school records while finishing seventh and fifth, respectively…finished 10th in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 58.84 at the PSACs…member of 200-yard freestyle relay team that finished 26th at NCAA Division II Championships with a time of 1:38.83...qualified for nationals individually in 100-yard butterfly.
HIGH SCHOOL
Started four years in swimming at Oswego East High School ... a state finisher who set records in 100-yard backstroke, 100-yard butterfly and a pair of relays.

Born March 29, 1990 ... daughter of Jenny and Ken Close ... Public Relations major ... transfered from Waubausee Community College.
