Served as the start at 141 lbs. for the Fighting Scots … ended the year with a 20-15 record with 2 falls, 2 technical falls, and 2 major decisions … was 5-3 in duals … finished second at the EWL Championships … won an 11-0 major decision over Clarion’s Jalin Hankerson, followed by a 1-0 decision over Travis Layton of Rider to reach the finals … lost by major decision to Kyle Shoop of Lock Haven in the finals … also finished second at the PSAC Championships, dropping a 6-5 decision to Lock Haven’s DJ Fehlman in the finals … came in third at the Journeyman Northeast Open … picked up his first win as a Fighting Scot in dual vs. The Citadel, winning by technical fall, 20-0 at 7:00, over Ethan Phillips.

AT GANNON
In 2017-18, entered the season ranked third at 141 lbs. in the NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches Association preseason rankings … finished with a 16-12 record while going 6-5 in duals … had 8 falls and 2 technical falls … placed fourth at the PSAC Championships at 141 lbs., losing to Chris Eddins of Pitt-Johnstown, 11-4, in the third place match … in the consolation semifinals, won by fall over now teammate Nate Hagan at 2:56 … claimed second place at the Mount Union Invitational and was fourth at the Findlay Open … helped Gannon finish fourth at the NWCA Duals and second as a team at Super Region 1 Regionals … went 2-2 at the regional …in 2016-17, earned All-American honors with a fifth place finish at 133 lbs. at the NCAA Division II National Championships as a true freshman … finished with a 26-5 record with 13 falls, 2 technical falls, and 3 major decisions … was 7-0 in dual competition … led Gannon in wins and pins (13) … was selected the PSAC Freshman of the Year … qualified for the national championships after a runner-up finish at the regional championships … won his first two matches at nationals, defeating St. Cloud State’s Mike Rhone, 3-1, and pinning Findlay’s Devin Rogers at 4:21 … earned All-American status with an 8-2 victory against LIU Post’s Anthony Sparacio in the fifth place bout … tied for the fifth-highest pin total among NCAA Division II wrestlers and the 13 falls ranks seventh in a season at Gannon … in addition,. ranked 10th in winning percentage (.839) … made his collegiate debut at the Mount Union Invitational, winning the 133-pound title with a 4-0 record … won his first five career matches, before suffering a 3-2 loss to the top-ranked wrestler in NCAA Division II … responded with 11 consecutive victories until losing in the finals of the PSAC Championships … placed second at the conference championships and fifth at the University of Findlay Open … continued with an eight-match win streak, before falling 2-1 in the NCAA Division II Super Regional One championship on a tiebreaker … a PSAC Scholar-Athlete.

Wrestled for head coach Mike Caro at McDowell High School … had a 105-26 career record … was a three-time state qualifier as a sophomore, junior and senior … started his high school career at Cathedral Prep, before finishing as the runner-up at the District 10 and Northwest Regional championships as a sophomore at Strong Vincent High School … won the district and Northwest Regional championships as a junior at General McLane High School … added titles at the Tool City and Fred Bell tournaments as a junior … ended his high school career as the runner-up at the district and Northwest Regional championships as a senior at McDowell … finished fourth at the King of the Mountain Tournament as a senior … named Most Outstanding Wrestler during his final season … helped General McLane win the district and Northwest Regional championships … was part of a McDowell team that finished runner-up at the district championships … received the All-Star Academic/Athlete Award as a sophomore, junior and senior.
