Was a four-year starter, wrestling his first three years for head coach John Smorin at Gateway High School, before competing for Boone High School and head coach Eddie Specht as a senior  … finished with a 148-40 career record … finished sixth at 120 lbs. at Florida state championships as a junior, capping a 53-9 season … competed for Boone at 126 lbs. as a senior, winning his third district championship and ending the year with a 36-2 record … was also a two-time region champion … as a sophomore, was member of Cadet National Team.
