Attended Northern Virginia Community College but did not wrestle.

Competed at Jeb Stuart High School for head coach Donald Balsavich ... earned two letters in wrestling, lacrosse, and football, and one in track & field ... in wrestling, finished with a 44-4 record ... as a senior, finished fifth at the 5A North Region Tournament ... was team MVP ... in lacrosse, set school record for saves in a game.
