Returned to the wrestling mat after being a member of the Edinboro football team … went 0-4 at heavyweight while competing in the Southern Scuffle and Edinboro Open.
FOOTBALL AT EDINBORO
Was a member of the Edinboro football team in 2016 that tied the school record for wins with a 9-2 record … appeared in eight games as a reserve defensive lineman, with 12 tackles, including four for losses and a sack, that coming against Clarion … had a career-high 5 tackles vs. IUP … also played for the football team in 2015 on the defensive line, appearing in all 11 games with seven starts, four at tackle and three at end … finished sixth on the team in tackles with 42, with 15 solo tackles and 27 assists … was second on the team in tackles for losses with 7.5, including 0.5 sacks … batted down two passes, recovered a fumble, and blocked a field goal, that coming against Seton Hill … had a season-high 8 tackles, with 1.5 for losses, at Millersville … had 7 tackles vs. California(Pa.) and 6 vs. Seton Hill , with a pair for losses against the Griffins.

Redshirted as a member of the wrestling team in 2014-15 … finished with an 18-16 record with six falls while competing in open tournaments … placed second at the Edinboro Open and Purple Raider Open, along with finishing sixth at Eastern Michigan Open and Oklahoma/Brockport Invitational.
HIGH SCHOOL
Standout in both football and wrestling at Lakeview High School … two-way star on offensive and defensive lines … earned All-State honors as a senior while helping the Sailors to a 12-2 finish … was a two-time all-district selection and three-time all-region first team choice on both offense and defense … totaled 290 tackles, 23.5 sacks, 9 forced fumbles, and 2 fumbles recoveries for his career … also had 3 blocked punts and 2 blocked field goals … as a senior, had 104 tackles and 12 sacks, with 2 forced fumbles, 2 blocked punts and a blocked field goal on defense, and paved the way for current Edinboro teammate Blake Reddick on offense as Lakeview ran for almost 4,800 yards, with Reddick setting District 10 career rushing record … helped Lakeview to first District 10 championship … in addition to All-State honors, earned all-district honors on offense and was a first team all-region pick both on offense and defense … Sailors went 8-4 his junior season as he was an all-district selection on the offensive line, plus first team all-region on offensive and defensive lines … led team with 101 tackles, including 5.5 sacks, with 2 forced fumbles and a blocked field goal … as a sophomore was a first team all-region pick on offense and defense after leading team with 62 tackles, adding 5 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, and a blocked punt … in wrestling, won back-to-back PIAA Class AA state championships at heavyweight, finishing with a 134-26 career record, including a perfect 36-0 record as a senior … won a 3-2 decision over Pen Argyl’s Brady Mutton in finals … was the Northwest Region champion … in 2013, defeated Nicholas Budd of Port Allegany in the finals via a 3-1 decision to wrap up a 37-4 season … also won the 2103 Northwest Region title … was 30-10 as a sophomore, qualifying for state championships for first time after finishing second at Northwest Regional …
