Crandall joins the Edinboro staff after spending the last eight years at New Haven as the linebackers coach. The last seven seasons he has also served as the special teams coordinator. In his time with the Chargers, he has helped 23 players earn all NE-10 honors with five all-region selections and four All-Americans.

Prior to his time at New Haven, Crandall spent the 2017 season at Western Connecticut State where he was co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.

Before his time with Western Connecticut State, seven seasons with SUNY College at Buffalo. In his time there he served in a variety of roles working with the linebackers from 2010-2016. He also spent a season as a defensive assistant working with the defensive line and defensive backs. He also served as the junior varsity head coach and defensive coordinator while with the Bengals.
