This week’s Fighting Scots Male Athlete of the Week is sophomore cross country runner Tim McConnell (Hudson, OH/Hudson). Tim was the individual champion at the Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin College. He led the Scots in covering the 8K course with a time of 24:54. Thanks to McConnell, the men’s harriers secured the top nine positions and a perfect team score of 15 points, more than 37 points ahead of the second place team. McConnell is part of a cross country team that is ranked 17th in Division II. He will be participating in this weekend’s PSAC Championships, held at Slippery Rock University.
